Dear Angie:
I have a question about hybrid electric water heaters. From what I have learned, they use both electric and heat pump technologies to produce hot water. They are relatively new and fairly expensive, but are supposed to save a substantial amount annually on electric costs. Some advertisements suggest you could save $350 annually by making the switch.
They are also said to cool and dehumidify to some extent the air in the room in which the water heater is located due to their heat pump technology.
I am interested in how well these units work and if they are as energy efficient as their advertisements say. What are Angie’s List members saying about this new technology?

In case you happen to love nature and you’re always on the lookout for cool new ideas on growing plants at home then you should definitely check out Domenic Fiorello’s Plant Pods. What we’re looking at here are especially conceived shelves that have just enough room inside to shelter a small plant like a cactus. Truth be told, the Plant Pods don’t exactly have what it takes to grow anything but succulent plants, although you could definitely try to plant other flowers inside a pod and then move them out to the garden once the Plant Pods can’t offer proper growth support for them. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love color. From my plum toenails, to my pink lip gloss, to the fab red-green- and black-flowered scarf that I am wearing as I write this, I have never been one to shy away from color. It makes me feel alive and gives me energy.
When we arrived in Wisconsin 6 years ago and moved into our new house, it was a blank canvas. The previous (and only) owners didn’t paint anything. All of the walls and ceilings were still primer white. It was a barren landscape. My partner and I were in heaven…overwhelmed, but in heaven. Our first order of business was to pick colors. Some rooms were easier than others. Aft
