The kam kam range of cupboards is certainly an innovation in design trying to bring human elements into the design of cupboards and cabinets. While it is certainly different, it is more appropriate as an ornament than as a cupboard that should hold anything of value. One thing is sure though if you have this furniture in your living room, they will not cease to provoke comments and questions from your guests.
