There are so many ways to put your money where your heart is. Buy a pair of TOMS Shoes, and the company donates a second pair to a child in need. Get yourself a T-shirt from Red, and help fund AIDS and HIV programs around the world. Pick up some chow from Newman’s Own (I always have a bottle of their balsamic vinaigrette on hand), and the profits support charities like camps for kids undergoing medical treatment.

And the list could go on and on.

On June 25-26, CB2 is offering an opportunity to support a cause that’s near to my heart, The Trevor Project, while also picking up some funky decor for your home. The Trevor Project is one of the leading organizations providing suicide intervention for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. And really, as a mother — heck, as a human — I believe it’s vital to make sure every kid understands their worth. So, I’ll be doing some shopping at CB2 this weekend.
